Using Ultimate Twitch Bot’s Counter Variable

Ultimate Twitch Bot 3.11.0 added a new variable type that adds counter ability to your commands! This guide will show you how to use it so that you can create death counter, command usage counter, and whatever else you can think of.

The counter variable can be used in any custom command and possibly other custom fields as well(untested). It’s very simple to use.

Simple Usage Counter:

[cnt=uniquename]

Description:

This variable will return a number incremented by 1 each time it’s used. Should work nicely with a global cooldown.

Reset Counter:

[cnt=uniquename#reset]

Description:

This will return a 0 and your ticker will be reset.

Set Counter Value:

[cnt=uniquename#set#10]

Description:

This will return a 10 and your ticker will be set to 10.

Check Counter Only:

[cnt=uniquename#check]

Description:

This will return the current counter value and your counter will not increment.

Counter Multiplier:

[cnt=uniquename#multi#2]

Description:

This will return the counter value plus two. If it was 2 before, it’s now 4 and so on.. You can adjust this value.

Write Counter to Text File:

[cnt=uniquename#write#uniquename.txt]

Description:

This will return a the current value, increment by 1 and write the new value to uniquename.txt.

NOTE: You can use multiple commands in conjunction for example [cnt=uniquename#multi#uniquename.txt#2#write] will work. You cannot use #multi with #set #check or #reset.

That’s it for now! It’s very simple, use your imaginations and we may build upon this a little later.

Thank you,
