Bad News: Twitch disables UTB

As of yesterday,6/16/15, Twitch has disabled JOIN/PART commands. These are responsible for telling UTB when someone joins and leaves your channel, so this feature no longer works.

We’re pushing out a change to temporarily disable JOIN and PART messages on TMI as a performance optimization ( even if you request the MEMBERSHIP cap ).

We'll re-enable it for MEMBERSHIP after e3, but this is the end of JOIN / PART for basic chat connections.

Moving forward, you will be required to request the MEMBERSHIP capability66 to receive JOIN and PART messages.

I am working to restore this function as soon as possible but I do not know when an update will be available at this time, but there is nothing I can do until E3 is over and they re-enable this function.

I have released a hotfix for UTB 2.0 that works around this issue. It's largely untested so report any bugs. Unfortunately greetings are still disabled, but at least viewers can get credit for watching your stream now.

update done last night, but now,when i click "launch" on the launcher, it indicate me that the version is no more fitted for my windows version or something like this.

Wondering, Im a big usage fan of your bot must say so.

But i encounter a problem when launching the application it basically says the following error:

''Error: the specified executable is not a valid application for this OS platform''

Im running windows 8.1

Yes i did redownloaded UTB but still getting the error,
Am i just missing the correct download? Or am i missing some files?
Or is it a current error that can be resolved?

go to the bots directory folder and run the updater then it should install properly

Typically downloading the latest UTB Launcher from the site and replacing your old UTB Launcher with the new one should fix this issue. If that's not working I suspect you may still be running the old launcher some how. You could try manually deleting Ultimate Twitch Bot.exe and running the launcher again.
